Deep Link Submissions

Deep Links are basically links to a certain page in a website or any object on that page. Deep link submission helps websites boost their ranking in Google search.

Google uses bots to “crawl” the websites and find relevant results. One of the most used pools of data from where these bots retrieve data regarding sites is the various deep link submission directories on the internet. The bots go through a number of these directories and rank the various results in the descending order of presence of such URLs in the directories. That is, the URLs that are present in the most number of directories get ranked highest.

Deep link submission is the process of submitting these URLs to such directories. More the number of links to such URLs are present on the web, the more the chances of the website getting ranked higher in the search results. When the deep links are submitted to the directories, they are combined with a short description of the site. This description will contain the keywords to which the content on the site is related. This way, the bots on the search engine will be able to identify which page is relevant to which keyword.

Deep link submissions are fast gaining reputation among companies as a very important step in SEO. Most companies however prefer to outsource their SEO activities to other web solutions companies.
